Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the Chula Vista Field Office in Chula Vista.

Under the general direction of the Area Manager, manages a Grade V office providing driver license, vehicle registration and other services to the public. The field office manager is primarily responsible for effectively managing workloads and resources and budgeting available dollars and hours to ensure that the field office is fully staffed and functional. The field office manager is directly responsible for development and maintenance of a high quality public service program, for correctly and fairly administering all department programs, implementing new technology and providing employee development.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

Working Conditions

Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

• Selected candidate will be required to participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
